Application Packager (IT Technician Software Distribution)

Job Overview:

Our client is seeking an Application Packager / IT Technician to support software distribution and workplace services within their IT environment. This role involves managing application deployment processes, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth installation and operation of applications across the organization.

The position is based in Sundsvall and requires a structured, communicative, and service-oriented professional who can handle technical tasks while interacting effectively with end users and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and execute application packaging and software distribution activities
• Coordinate with application owners, service delivery managers, and end users for planning and deployment
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to application installations and deployments
• Ensure smooth rollout of software updates within the IT workplace environment
• Support and maintain on-premises application distribution systems (SCCM/MCEM)
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to users during installation processes
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders in both Swedish and English
• Follow established IT service management processes and ensure compliance with standards

Required Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience (within the last 3 years) in IT workplace environments using on-premise solutions such as SCCM/MCEM
• Experience working on similar assignments related to software distribution and application packaging
• Ability to independently handle defined tasks with some level of supervision

Educational Qualification:

• Relevant training or certification in IT, Computer Systems, or a related field

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with SCCM/MCEM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager)
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to application installation and deployment
• Familiarity with IT workplace and software distribution processes
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work in a structured and process-driven environment

Preferred / Additional Skills:

• Prior experience specifically in application packaging and distribution
• Experience working in large-scale or public sector environments
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate across teams

Language Requirement:

• Swedish – Professional proficiency (both written and spoken)
• English – Professional proficiency (both written and spoken)

Mandatory submission of required documents, including:

Job Mode: On-site (with limited remote flexibility up to 40%)

Work Environment & Conditions:

• Primarily on-site work in Sundsvall, with remote work allowed up to 40% depending on task suitability
• Extension of the assignment may be granted at the client’s discretion with prior notice
