Our Durable Carbon Removal (CDR) services help companies build credible, science-aligned carbon removal portfolios — from catalytic early-stage purchases to large-scale procurement.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Impact Manager to drive the growth of our CDR commercial offering. This is a senior role sitting at the intersection of business development, impact management, and CDR expertise. You will shape our CDR product offering, own sales processes, and represent Milkywire in key industry forums.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Manage the full sales cycle for CDR — from lead generation to closing deals
- Identify and engage high-value prospects and strategic partners
- Develop tailored proposals and build relationships with key stakeholders
CDR Offering & Positioning
- Lead the development of our commercial CDR offering
- Update pitch materials and commercial touchpoints
- Stay current on industry trends, regulation, and competitor landscape
- Contribute to thought leadership through articles, white papers, and webinars
- Represent Milkywire at strategic events and speaking opportunities
Impact Management
- Input on supplier selection, due diligence processes, and supplier reporting
- Develop and refine evaluation frameworks for CDR scale procurement
- Drive process improvements to strengthen quality assurance
Qualifications
Required
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. climate science, environmental science, carbon geochemistry, or other scientific discipline)
- 3+ years of experience working in or closely with the CDR sector
- Strong understanding of CDR technology landscape — both engineered and nature-based approaches
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial partnerships
- Excellent communication skills — able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluency in English
Meriting
- Existing network within the CDR ecosystem (buyers, suppliers, researchers, policymakers)
- Experience representing organisations at industry events or in a thought leadership capacity
- Familiarity with CDR procurement, MRV standards, or carbon market frameworks
- Experience working in or with the US climate/carbon market
