Job Mission:

We are looking for a Design Engineer for a 1-year temporary position to cover for parental leave. In this role the main focus is drawing work and customer adaptations in a project setting, where you will be an important part of our engineering and project team. You will support our senior engineers in turning customer needs into robust, manufacturable solutions and clear, complete documentation for production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will:

• Work in CAD (primarily SolidWorks) creating and updating 3D models and drawings

• Develop customer-specific solutions based on given concepts and guidelines, according to customer needs and applications

• Create and update technical documentation and BOMs

• Work closely with senior engineers, Sales and Production to ensure that solutions are technically and practically feasible

• Contribute in project work, from quotation support to final drawings for production

The role reports to the Engineering Manager and is based in Kungsbacka.

PREFERED COMPETENCIES

About you

We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career who already has a solid base in CAD and mechanics. You want to grow into the role as a design engineer and enjoy turning customer needs into clear drawings and solutions.

We believe you:

• Are curious about how things are actually manufactured and used, not only how they look in CAD

• Are careful, structured and enjoy delivering complete and clear documentation

• Are a team player who collaborates well with colleagues in Engineering, Sales and Production

• Communicate clearly and professionally with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

It is an advantage if you:

• Have knowledge of manufacturing methods such as welding, bending and cutting

• Have some understanding of electrical engineering or mechatronics

• Have experience from customer contact, technical support or similar roles

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

We believe you:

• Have an engineering degree or equivalent technical education within mechanics / mechanical engineering

• Have 1–3 years of experience in mechanical design or advanced drawing work, alternatively relevant internship / thesis work

• Have good skills in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks

• Speak and write Swedish and English fluently
